In Q4 2020 Panther establishes a gold project portfolio in world-class mining region in Western Australia.
The Meriolia Gold project comprises a portfolio comprises a number of prospects located 250km north-northeast of Kalgoorlie. The project comprises a tenement package of 145km2. The tenements sit within a 14km long by 8km wide Archean greenstone sequence and are 100% owned by Panther Metals. The project lies in a prolific mining region with the well established 3Moz Granny Smith and 7Moz Sunrise Dam within a close vicinity. The region benefits from extensive infrastructure with airports, rail, roads and a highly skilled workforce in mining towns througout the area.
The project area comprises the following tenements:
- East Burtville (8m at 6.7 g/t gold)
- Ironstone (4m at 5 g/t gold)
- Comet Well (2.6 g/t in soils, 250g nuggets)
Burtville East Gold Prospect
Project Overview
Area: 90.05km2
Location: 35km SE of Laverton
The Burtville East Gold prospect covers an area of 90.05km2 and contains a series of 2.5m wide surface level quartz reef outcrops and significant geochemical anomalies. Historically the property has been drill targeted. It is currently PoW approved and there are existing mineral stockpiles ready for chemical treatment (grab sample grades < 38.5 g/t gold).
Highlights
4m @ 5.1 g/t Au from surface.
8m @ 0.68 g/t Au from 72m of quartz veining in mafic schist. 4m @ 5.1 g/t Au from surface
Ironstone Gold Prospect
Project Overview
Area: 52.09km2
Location: 35km SE of Laverton
The main lode of the Ironstone Gold prospect contains multiple zones of fresh and oxide mineralisation which remains open along strike and at depth. Gold is found within quartz veining in sheared basalts.
190m west of the Ironstone Main Lode lies the New Lode area which has demonstrated bulls-eye soil geochemistry with a peak gold value of 340ppb within a halo of >100ppb gold values.
Highlights
Main Lode
PoW approved
New Lode
Broad mineralsed zones of >0.2g/t Au present with drilling results including 4m @ 1.8g/t Au within 12m @ 1.1g/t Au, 4m at 1.3 g/t Au and 5m at 0.6 g/t Au.
PoW approved
Comet Well Prospect
Project Overview
Area: 3.01km2
Location: 35km SE of Laverton
The Comet Well gold prospect covers an area of 3.01km2 and contains two parallel mineralised trends 1.2 km apart. The trends span 2.5 and 2.7km and gold is hosted within quartz veins.
Extensive soil geochemistry has been completed in the area which has also produced >40oz of gold nugget discoveries, the largest of which was 20g. The nuggets are coincident with soil geochemistry anomalies.
